As many business leaders begin to look beyond the COVID-19 pandemic and strategize about the best path forward, there is no doubt that the workforce has changed. Regardless of the situation your organization is in, embracing change is required to move forward and into the next wave of digital transformation.
In a 2021 Gartner research study, The IT Roadmap for Digital Business Transformation results found that ‘53% of the organizations surveyed remain untested in the face of digital challenge and their digital transformation readiness is therefore uncertain.’
At NewWave, our vision of transforming healthcare IT requires an effective digital transformation strategy of our own. Guided by the following three principles, NewWave’s Microsoft Practice plays an active role in supporting NewWave’s internal digital transformation and empowering our customers along their own digital transformation journeys.
Enabling Digital Transformation Strategy 1: Ignite Innovation
Along with best practices in human-centered design, NewWave combines experiences from real-world deployments with our expertise in Microsoft’s latest technologies to help our team and customers ignite innovation on their steps towards achieving digital transformation.
As more customers search low code application development solutions to meet rapidly changing needs, NewWave is increasing our Microsoft service offering to include low code application development support to provide customers with the ability to quickly deploy customized solutions to simplify business processes. NewWave’s services in the Microsoft Power Platform include expertise with Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents to build comprehensive, end-to-end business solutions.
Enabling Digital Transformation Strategy 2: Embrace Collaboration
When NewWave transitioned to a remote-first workforce in early 2020, we turned to Microsoft Teams to support our increased need for virtual-first organizational-wide collaboration. As part of our digital transformation strategy, NewWave’s Microsoft Practice ensured all employees were able to leverage the latest Teams offerings and SharePoint services to support ongoing projects and workflows. NewWave also launched a COVID-19 Task Force through SharePoint, leveraging Teams to stay connected and help employees be informed of the latest company updates and processes relating to COVID-19.
According to a recent Microsoft remote work trend report, there were 2.7 billion Microsoft Teams meeting minutes on March 31, 2020, a 200 percent increase from 900 million on March 16.
NewWave brings the same hands-on approach to help our customers digitally transform their organizations as well. NewWave’s Microsoft Teams services are tailored to meet each customer’s unique business needs and respective workforce demands. As a result of our commitment to empowering our customers through Microsoft Teams, NewWave was featured as a Microsoft Top Teams Partner for Q3.
Enabling Digital Transformation Strategy 3: Build Strong Partnerships
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, NewWave partnered with Microsoft and Onyx to develop SAFHIR, an industry-leading health data interoperability platform. Working directly with the Microsoft product group responsible for developing the Azure API for FHIR roll-out in Microsoft’s private partner review program, our collaboration provided a one-of-a-kind opportunity for NewWave to build a game-changing solution for the emergent era of health data interoperability.
Digital transformation requires innovation, collaboration, and strong partnerships. As we look towards the future of health information technology, NewWave is ready to help your organization stay ahead of the next wave of digital transformation.
As a trusted Microsoft Gold Partner, NewWave carries a diverse portfolio of expertise in Microsoft solutions and services across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate, and Teams.
