NewWave, a leading digital services provider for the Federal Government, is leading Innovation Development and Operation Services (IDOS) at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Center (CMMI) through a $196 million contract from CMS. Under this contract, NewWave has provided services in system modernization, cloud migration, machine learning, data analytics, Agile software development, DevSecOps and Human-Centered Design to support ongoing testing of new models of healthcare delivery and payment.
“NewWave is thrilled to partner with CMS and CMMI on this critical effort”, said Patrick Munis, NewWave CEO. “This is an incredibly important program for CMS as they look to develop next generation healthcare services that better serve the healthcare needs of all Americans. We are proud to bring such a highly skilled team to help CMS and CMMI solve some of their most significant technology challenges.”
A key aspect of the project will be applying modern technologies and development techniques to champion CMMI in their mission to support, test, evaluate, and expand the most innovative and promising payment and service delivery models in order to achieve better care, better health, and reduced cost for beneficiaries of Medicare, Medicaid, and Children’s Health Insurance Program. By leveraging technologies and techniques like augmented intelligence and applying NewWave’s extensive background and knowledge in health data and related standards like the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR), NewWave is poised to transform how CMMI tests new healthcare models.
