Driving the transformation of technology infrastructure in the CMS Innovation Center
NewWave has initiated the transformation of technology infrastructure in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Innovation Center (CMMI) to support, test, evaluate, and expand the most innovative and promising payment and service delivery models to bring better care, better health, and reduced cost for Medicare, Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program beneficiaries.
NewWave has cultivated a creative ecosystem to support this mission, deploying the most extensive use of the Microsoft Azure for Government Cloud in the Department of Health and Human Services, (HHS) optimizing the largest instance of the Salesforce platform at CMS, and building a one-of-a-kind, leading edge enterprise data platform in partnership with industry leaders in cloud computing including Databricks, Snowflake and Looker.
NewWave is creating a unique combination of technology, code, data management and human centered design in a “Reusable Framework (RF)” for the Innovation Center. The RF is a laboratory of modular and interchangeable technological tools we use to quickly create and test our innovation models.
All this work is made possible through NewWave’s empathetic approach to engineering. Our work with CMMI is the studio and forge of healthcare invention and change in America today.
Building the tools to extract wisdom from data: NewWave’s enterprise data platform, custom built for CMMI, is cloud-optimized, serverless infrastructure management with cluster computing, powered by Apache Spark.
We have enabled the data experience capability of Looker; transcended the limits of the traditional data warehouse with Snowflake; and revealed the power of data with the unified analytics platform of Databricks.
