NewWave Announces Hiring of Greg McGuigan, Deputy Director of the Data and Systems Group at CMS

Company adds to team looking to take CMS experience to states and private sector

Elkridge, MD, July 15, 2019 – NewWave Telecom and Technologies, Inc. (“NewWave”), a full-service Information Technology (IT), Business Services  and Data Management company, specializing in developing mission-critical Healthcare IT solutions using state-of-the-art technologies announced today the appointment of Gregory M. McGuigan to its Executive Leadership Team. McGuigan brings more than 30 years of experience at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), most recently as Deputy Director of the Data and Systems Group.  He has also been Senior Technical Advisor to the Office of Technical Solutions (OTS)  and he also directed the Division of Encounter Data and Risk Adjustment Operations at the healthcare agency.

McGuigan will become NewWave’s Executive Vice-President, State and Health Business. In this role, Greg will focus on defining business development strategies and positioning NewWave for new state healthcare opportunities as well as leverage existing CMS business for pursuits within other federal agencies and the private sector.

McGuigan has provided leadership and vision on developing Medicaid IT Infrastructure; he was a driver on the open API initiatives, cloud migration, and the adoption of Agile and Lean methodologies within CMS among many other program-specific leadership roles during his tenure.
