Elkridge, MD, May 6, 2021 – NewWave, a full-service Information Technology (IT), business services, and data management company, today announced the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded NewWave a $24M contract recompete to continue overseeing the Central Data Abstraction Tool (CDAT) which automates the flow of the CMS Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) program and tracks all medical record requests sent to Medicare Advantage (MA) organizations.

Bringing over 15 years of experience supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, NewWave has managed the operations and maintenance of the CMS RADV Program and CDAT for the last 8 years. As part of NewWave’s innovation for RADV and CDAT, NewWave led the modernization of CDAT systems architecture to the Microsoft Azure for Government Cloud, completely redesigning the application as cloud-native to improve efficiency, security, and tracing collaboration between coders to track data for medical record requests.
